Would you ever have your wedding reception at a buffet restaurant?

(I.E. Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral)Would you ever have your wedding reception at a buffet restaurant?
Reception to Follow at Shoney's...inclosed please find your Lunch Express Dollar Off Coupons and Two for One Desserts......or for high class affairs there is always Cracker Barrel altho I prefer Famous Dave's Bar-B-Q....

LOL..oh my...I needed that! Splurge and have it catered by KFC.......
If I loved the food, sure why not? We go to a local Chinese buffet restaurant once a week and most everyone we know in town agrees they have great food, and there is nothing white trash about the place but it's not the Four Seasons either. They also rent out the entire building so you don't have to worry about strangers coming in.

Keep in mind that you wouldn't be allowed to bring in cake or alcohol.

I would also know to keep my mouth shut if someone else chose a venue I didn't personally care for, since an invite means "come if you want to but no one is required to attend".Would you ever have your wedding reception at a buffet restaurant?
I think quite a few people do it that way. I've seen it more at hotel buffets though.

But hey, whatever floats your boat.

If you don't want to have the reception at some fancy shmancy place, don't.

Please don't have your reception at a place your heart didn't desire just because it's conventional or "more classy" or something.

ADDED AFTER EDIT: And it's good for you budget too! You already spend so much on your dress and all, don't feel bad not splurging on the reception.
I wouldn't have a problem with that because I've been to one and the food was simply fantastic, and for those who didn't want buffet a menu was also allowed. If I remember right, there were only about three or four out of the whole crew of around 50 who chose menu. It was delicious!Would you ever have your wedding reception at a buffet restaurant?
Last time I was at Golden Corral they were having their reception there. I think it's a stupid idea because there's a bunch of people there, you don't get the food you want and it's gross. Pay a little extra money for catering or something. Seriously, it gives off a bad impression.
No, even if your party is sectioned off, it just dosen't seem personal with all the other people coming in to eat. If you're trying to save money mayby you could have a buffet style setup at the basement or party room of the church.
i would have my reception at Burger King.

it doesn't matter where it is. it matters that you get to celebrate with friends and family the joining of you and your lifetime lover, partner and friend.
no. definitely not. i'd rather do it at pizza hut than a buffet....%26amp; that's not happening either. this is a way to thank your wedding party for all of their contributions to the wedding.
heck no! I wont even feed my dog that stuff, no way I'd subject anyone else to it. I'd rather (and this is pushing it) serve subway sandwiches ordered 2 days before! I mean honestly there are nice italian restaurants that cater so why would anyone even go there!
I think when it comes to weddings anything goes as long as long as you have your loved ones by you. And hey with the money you save you can put it into a home or a really fun honeymoon!
well...don't you want to drink and dance and have a good time? this will be hard to do at golden corral...but you could get the food from a place like that and have it outside somewhere, or at home....
Heck no. It's not a romantic, nice or enjoyable place. But if you would want to have YOUR reception there that is all your choice. Don't let other people make the choice for you.
Yeah, its good budget and everyone will be so drunk anyway they wont care

spend your money on the dress and the honeymoon, its your wedding!
No, mainly because I don't eat at those places, ever.

I would never have my wedding at an establishment that I wouldn't eat at on my own.
I wouldn't but if you REALLY love that buffet place or are on a tight budget or have a history with it like you guys met there I see nothing wrong with it.
i wouldn't do it but this isn't the first time i saw this question on here - with the economy these days... a little weird but it's your wedding
No, but if someone wanted their reception there, it's not my business.
Maybe it really depends on how the place looks
Yikes! No.
not really somewhere fancy like a hotel hall with fancy chairs..
tooo messssy :]
NO
perhaps if you lived in a trailer......
personally, no... but if that's what you enjoy, go for it.
