Does anyone know any tips on enough eating food that will satisfy you without looking like a pig?

I'm going on a several day long trip with my school. And, so for lunch and dinner we have to eat at Hometown/Country/Old Country Buffet. And, I don't want to eat too much because it will make me look like a pig in front of my peers. And so I wanted some tips on eating enough food the will satisfy me without looking like a pig. I'll take portions suggestions and what kinds of foods are more filling. Thank you in advance.Does anyone know any tips on enough eating food that will satisfy you without looking like a pig?
At places like those it can be hard to eat healthy and in a way that will keep you from being hungry again soon. You may be tempted to eat veggies and drink water to look like you are eating super healthy, but after a day or two you will be starving! To keep yourself from going crazy be sure to eat some complex carbs (usually pasta or bread) that will keep your blood sugar level normal and keep you from feeling tired or hungry too fast. Try a sensible portion of spaghetti with a roll. Protein will help keep you full too so baked chicken, steak, or a hamburger will do fine. Do eat some veggies- just a little bit on your plate will also go far to giving the impression that you are a healthy eater. Don't torment yourself though. You have a right to eat whatever you want so while healthy is a good choice, feel free to eat a reasonable bit of dessert or pizza etc. if you want too! Make yourself happy!
Drink lots of water, and eat a huge salad. You cant go wrong with salad. Just dont pile ham and bacon on it, and you should be fine. Eat a nice roll on the side.Does anyone know any tips on enough eating food that will satisfy you without looking like a pig?
Foods that are high in protein ward off hunger. Eat eggs, turkey and chicken.
starchy foods, and foods with alot of fiber are the most filling.Does anyone know any tips on enough eating food that will satisfy you without looking like a pig?

Ham, mac and cheese, corn bread, who cares! Your friends don't care that you eat, its a buffet, thats what you're supposed to do. But if you must know a little trick, just put one or two things on your plate, but eat alot of plates. It'll look like nothing but add up to alot :)
