Is this considered shoplifting?

Well my birthday just passed a week and a day ago my mother took me out to a country buffet in my purse i brought a tableware bowel with me. and whatever meat we did not eat i put in the bowel to bring home to my cats is that stealing? my mother paid and we ate but i took the leftovers home, Ham, and pot roast we did not want to waste itIs this considered shoplifting?
No "all-you-can-eat" place wants customers walking out with food (unless you pay extra for the privilege.) I know you didn't mean to take extra - but if you think about it, if that were allowed, then everyone could just grab second helpings and say that they were "leftovers" to take home. The buffets would lose money.

Don't feel too bad about it, as you didn't intend to take too much food. Next time, you should go to a place that allows doggie bags, even if it costs extra :)
Everything you eat ends up in your bowels, so how could that be shoplifting? If you did something like take it home in a bowl, you might be told not to come back though...Is this considered shoplifting?
you should take the bowl back with you in your purse next time you go and put it with the dirty ones on your table. Taking the food for your cats is probably okay, just wrap it in a napkin next time, don't take their dishes!!!
If you paid for your food ; No . %26amp; just took what you didnt finish ; no . But idk some buffets have diff rules, But i dont think so , So dont worrry hun (:Is this considered shoplifting?
Some buffets will make you pay extra if you have to use a take out bag because they don't want you to take all their food. But I'm sure if you only took a bowl that would be okay. Its good people like you that keeps this world sane :)
Technically you stole the food from your mother

You are not guilty of any crime though :D
If you took it straight off of the buffet table like you weren't even giong to eat the food you were just taking it, then that is considered stealing.

but i think you were saying that you just had left overs on your plate, that isn't considered stealing, usually u can ask for boxes and take the food with you, so no you're not stealing
Most buffet places disapprove of takeouts if it was an endless/all-you-can-eat buffet. It's partly because of health reasons. And cost reasons, too.
I know the buffet place doesn't want people doing that, but a lot of people do. Everyone I know does that! Really, I don't think it's stealing. You already paid for it, so I believe that you can take it home if you want. :)
It depends on the rules at the buffet, if they say you are not allowed to do that then yes you stole, but if they it is ok then it was fine.
It's against all buffet policies against you taking food out even if you don't eat it there. One exception is the ice cream cone. You must eat all the food you can and don't place any in hidden places to take home. It is stealing in most cases.
Yes, it is stealing. You paid for all you can eat not all you can eat plus your furry friends at home. If it was truly left overs from things you had taken that you thought you would eat but didn't then I guess that's not so bad as the food will just be thrown out anyway but the restaurant would frown on this because it encourages people to take too much deliberately so that they can take good doggy bags home.
It's not really illegal. However the business has the right to ban you for the practice.
