Nice Canadian buffet in Downtown Toronto?

Looking for someplace to take my wife on her birthday in downtown toronto, perhaps a buffet. Nothing terribly ethnic, just a nice selection of quality food, tipping towards comfort foods perhaps. Lunch or dinner on the weekend. Looking to combine it with a show at the Prince of Wales theatre. Suggestions?

I'm leaning towards a buffet not because we're big eaters but so that different foods can be sampled in small quantities for variety and interest. Town %26amp; Country would probably fit the bill if it weren't closed for renovations.

I'm in the city a fair bit on business but my wife rarely ever gets there, we live hours from Toronto.Nice Canadian buffet in Downtown Toronto?

Instead of a buffet...how about a tapas restaurant? You can sample many small dishes, the food is great, the price isn't bad, and you get a great meal.

I recommend...

Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar

Foxley Bistro

Sopra Upper Lounge

And....it's not tapas...but you should check out ScaramoucheNice Canadian buffet in Downtown Toronto?
The Town and Country on Jarvis at Lakeshore, just down from the LCBO building, Loblaws is on the corner of Jarvis and Queens Quay, go north and your there, they have a lunch and dinner buffet, all North American style foods. But as you said they have been renovating for the last few months jsut after Xmas, not alot of choice, if your into Asian fare there is a place on Queen St at McCaul a korean BBQ place were you can cook at your table, if you want small portions I also would recommend Tortilla Flats near Queen and Spadina.
