What's your favorite place to eat out at on the weekends?

I have always wondered where my friends and their families go out to eat when they are able to. though recently, i myself havent been seen going out to eat as much as before when gas prices were tolerable. when my fridge is empty, i usually like to go pig out at the nearest Old Country buffet, aka Hometown/Country buffet in other states (i live near Chicago). i want to expand my list of places to eat before i die, so please feel free to list as many places you can think of. these places can be take-out, upscale (pricey), or family restuarants. though id prefer to try somewhere thats closer to home, ill consider all but the most remote destinations. What's your favorite place to eat out at on the weekends?
We have several places we go to when eating out. Also depends on how our kids are behaving.

Buffalo Wild Wings.. Hubby likes the big tv's and the wings..lol

Bakers Square... geat food, servers are great, I know some of the staff in the kitchen and always great pies

IHOP... very rare service is going down here at the one by our home

Olive Garden... always good always friendly and cant go wrong with pasta

Applebees.... very rare.. good service is few and far between.

OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE- Love their food, great servers, plus can never go wrong with Aussie Fries..lol

These are the places we keep in our listings as possibles to eat. We only eat out 1 a month, as gas prices here are high too. What's your favorite place to eat out at on the weekends?
I agree w/DB. You should drive around sometime and check out small out-of-the-way family type restaurants. Chains are all the same and usually VERY crowded on weekends. (As I"m sure you know.) But, if you go to, say, a Thai restaurant that seems like no one even knows it's there, then you may be surprised. I like to go to Italian family-style places. They usually serve large platters of food that everyone shares. Plus, the atmosphere is usually candles and low light, etc.

Good luck! What's your favorite place to eat out at on the weekends?
Longhorn steakhouse kicks @ss!
I really enjoy family / local owned and operated places. Especially opposed to all the chains out there. Nice little sushi bars, family owned Italian places, etc. Pretty much anywhere I can get an authentic and delicious meal! I love exploring neighborhoods for little ethnic places.
