Country Buffet eh? Haven't heard of the place before but I'm pretty sure you can. The whole purpose of a Laptop is mobility. If you're going to watch something on it though, just make sure that your volume is limited or you have earphones (trust me....center of attention. :( ) If they kick you out or tell you to put it away, just remember your free rights.(thats if your american.)
P.s. Ifyou bring a laptop makes you look business-type class anyways :D

Sure. People bring their laptops to coffee houses, Perkins, any restaurant. There's nothing different about Country Buffet.
The best thing you could do is call the place and make sure they allow it. Some restaurants have pretty specifics rules about phones and computers.Can i bring my laptop!?!?!?
Personally I would be offended, and consider that the height of bad manners.
Leave it in the car if you have, to and sneak out.
