Is it just me or does warren buffet have a skewed view of the world?

I respect him because I know that he is extremely smart. But a couple things seem strange about him: 1) Prior to his wife's death in 2004, he was technically married to her but since their careers took him across the country, Warren had a live in companion. They would sign their Christmas cards with all three names. 2) He doesn't believe in passing down even a little wealth to his kids. I read a book about him published in 1996 that interviewed his daughter and she said that she needed $2,000 to pay off her credit card debt? I think he helps them out more now though. 3) He doesn't believe that he should be paying 15% tax on his source of income (investment income) while his secretary pays 25% on her $60,000 salary (Why is someone with $40,000,000,000 paying his secretary $60,000- that is what is wrong) 4) He doesn't buy anything special with all his money. He still lives in the same house that he bought in 1958 for $31,000. Whatever makes you happy but it strikes me as strange. Why work so hard and make all the money if you don't have nice things? 5)He is an atheist. Seems weird he has no faith in god. 6) He believes in a high inheritance tax to avoid people having money if they didn't make it themselves. If i had a lot of money, i would make sure that my children could live extremely comfortably but would still make them go to get an education in order to get the money. 7)He doesn't care one bit that he eats very unhealthy.

These things about Warren Buffet strike me as strange. What do you think? Is it just me or does warren buffet have a skewed view of the world?
Buffett is definitely an independent thinker.

1) I believe this was a situation where he still loved his wife, but they had grown apart because of their differing interests. The 3 people was a strange relationship but all were ok with it.

2) I'd guess the $2,000 was more of a teaching moment. While his kids won't get most of his money, they are still receiving many millions.

3) Yeah, he talks about this often. He feels lucky being in a system where his talents are rewarded so much. He wants a more equal society.

4) He has everything he needs. While not a mansion, his house is quite nice with many upgrades and just a few minutes from work. He doesn't want to deal with other stuff.

6) His views aren't much different than yours. When he talks about taxes, its often directed to the "super" rich. There would still be plenty to leave for children. He doesn't want a situation where kids won't have anything to do.

7) Yeah, he drinks cherry coke and eats steaks. His doctor told him to exercise or eat better. He chose exercise. Is it just me or does warren buffet have a skewed view of the world?
just because he doesn't believe in God is not strange, it is not required. He doesn't have to buy nice things with his money; money 'doesn't buy happiness' after all. I agree with the others though.
