I feel bad about telling my mom they had scallops on the buffet bar and feel really guilty now?

okay, well we were at the beach and at a seafood and country food buffet and I saw they had boiled scallops and i know my mom likes them so I pointed them out to her and she ate some. I know the Bible says not to eat them so i don't but at the time I wanted her to be happy and I know she likes them and she thinks they are okay to eat, but now I feel really guilty like I shouldn't have pointed them out. What should I do? Did I really mess up bad or is it just my emotions?I feel bad about telling my mom they had scallops on the buffet bar and feel really guilty now?

the Bible doesn't say scallops exactly, though it does say you can eat fish with scales, shellfish are what we are not to eat, this is true also. plus many other seafoods,

what you need to do is educate your Mother, and show her where it says this, so she will know it is on her, if she chooses to continue eating scallops.

Where is all this coming from that Christians aren't supposed to eat shellfish? That is an Old Testament dietary law given to the Hebrews. It was never meant for the Gentiles. Read the New Testament and see how Paul explained to the Jewish Christians that the Gentiles were not required to keep these laws--we are under grace, not under the law.

where does the bible say you can't eat scallops? i know the bible basicaly in and out and i dont remember anything about scallops pork yes but not scallops stop beating yourself up about it

Really-are we sure the bible says not to eat scallops? I was raised Italian Catholic and part of our Christmas Eve tradition was to have at least seven types of fish and scallops was one of them.
