I don't want to take subway again, so what should i make? Plus how can i keep my food warm and toasty so it wont be cold and blah during the drip? Get yourself an insulated container that you can put an ice-pak in. This will keep things nice and cold for you during your trip. Here are some ideas for food and snacks you might want to consider:

1. Soup: get a thermos and preheat with hot water. Pour water out and add your favorite soup. I recommend tomato bisque with a little basil and cream cheese.

2. Fruit: Apples, bananas, oranges, fruit cups, dried fruit, raisins are all decent ideas.

3. Cheese stix and jerky

4. Ham or turkey and cheese sandwich on rye with mustard. If you like pickles and tomatos etc., store them separately to keep sandwich from getting soggy.

5. Salami and cream cheese rollups: spread genoa or hard salami with herb and garlic cream cheese; wrap around a thin slice of dill pickle and roll up.

6. Mix peanut butter with roasted peanuts, honey, and raisins and serve on wheat or raisin bread.

7. Cold roasted herb chicken, celery stix with ranch dressing, grape tomatos

8. Your favorite hard or soft cheese, sour dough wheat roll, mustard

9. Juice paks

10. Bottled Water
