That is too big of a age difference. Older men always like younger girls and the most common reason is for sex. If you feel that you want to go out with him then do that and get to know him better, regardless of his age and see how things work out. Good luck!

Honestly though, would you really wanna date someone who is more than double your age and has a job that you could get right now? All you'd need is a work permit (at least here in CA) %26amp; a good work ethic and you could probably be his boss.



If you're going to date older guys, set ground rules. They should have their own place (not at his mom's house), a good job, his own vehicle, and have a plan for improving his (and your) future. Well i'm 16 and i have always had an "older-man" fetish...i mean not like scary old like 60 or anything but 38 is more than half your age so thats not exactly the most normal relationship but i mean cmon...are any relationships REALLY normal if u think about it? The fact that a 38 yr old man is willing to wait 2 years for a girl to turn 18 JUST so that he can date her show that this guy has serious problems. It's weird when you're 16 and he's 38 wanting to date you, but once you hit 18 I see no problems with it. Then you will be legal. Age is nothing but a number after 18.
