Why hasn't Warren Buffet been made Secretary Tresury?

it's not often you find a rich, successful investor with solid character and understands the needs of this country. you could say conflict of interest, with his stake in the economy but he actually lives very frugally. he does not carry around a cell phone and drives a cheap Chevy (i believe) pickup. also despite the obvious advantages of ignoring it, he brought to public attention the fact that he thought it was ridiculous his secretary is taxed at 33%, but him at just 19%.Why hasn't Warren Buffet been made Secretary Tresury?
He probably wouldn't take the pay cut.

Seriously, I think he wouldn't take it because he realizes no matter how brilliant, reasonable, and simple his guaranteed to work solution would be congress would not follow it or pass it and would pass some version of it that in no way resembled his suggestion and would then say "well we got the smartest man's plan and see it didn't work"

If you want a really good read about how this happens read "The Triumph of Politics" by David Stockman. He was Reagan's budget director and was a brilliant and responsible man whose expertise was completely ignored. Why hasn't Warren Buffet been made Secretary Tresury?
Jesus...not this nonsense again. One more time, since you missed it the first hundred time. His secretary pays an income tax. Buffet doesn't since how he gets payed isn't considered "income" by the tax code. His tax percentage isn't calculated the same as an income tax. Either way, 19% of $30,000,000,000 is a hell of a lot more than 33% of 60,000.00.

Blame a tax code engineered by liberals' idea of "fairness." Flat tax, bring it.
